Were any animal experiment facilities ever shut down due to mistreatment towards animals?

Have there ever been cases where they shut down places that experimented on animals, for say drug research?|||As far as drug/pharma research, I am unaware of any laboratories to have been "shut down" due to mistreatment. But I am also aware that animal welfare laws are notoriously lax in China or Vietnam and that i've heard (now from PETA so you have to take it with a grain of salt) that there has been accusations of mistreatment.

Most recently you might have heard of New Iberia at LSU Lafayette that is a primate testing site which I believe does outsourcing for some drug trials. Anyways, they have recently (within the past 3-4 months) been accused of mistreatment by the Humane Society.

In the past PETA has gone undercover in Covanance and reported mistreatment, but courts ruled that the evidence had been tampered with by PETA.

Generally though when labs are shut down it's mostly university based laboratories and it's actually fairly uncommon since many sanctions must be broken in order for that to happen. I would wikipedia "animal research" and that will lead you to sources and incidents.
