What are the causes of mistreatment of prisoners in China?

As a Chinese, I have never heard of any mistreatment of prisoners in China. If you refer to those in the movies or TV dramas about 70 years ago, that was at the warring period, and nationalists used those cruel ways to try to obtain some information they wanted.|||Just to make our Little Seagull happy:

"Wu was arrested in April 2007 and sentenced to three years on extortion charges after campaigning for years against pollution in Taihu lake, one of China’s biggest freshwater lakes and once famed for its beauty.

Wu, who was released on April 12, said he was repeatedly beaten in jail, kept in solitary confinement and denied telephone contact and visits with family and friends.

"They used tree branches to whip my head, burned my hands with cigarettes and kicked and beat me until my arms and legs were swollen and my head was spinning,” Wu said.

"Prison deaths are a sensitive subject, but these have been widely reported in the Chinese media and on the internet."

"For the past two decades, human rights groups, medical organizations, and the international media have excoriated China for procuring transplant organs from executed prisoners. This practice was first authorized under China's 1984 "Temporary Rules Concerning the Utilization of Corpses or Organs from the Corpses of Executed Criminals" and it is widely used by the Chinese government. Reports from Chinese doctors and media sources reveal significant deficiencies both in the text and application of China's current organ-procurement laws. The lack of clear legal parameters and the absence of enforcement measures have opened the door to problems of interpretation and misapplication, resulting in the physical abuse of prisoners."

I would that guess the poor treatment of prisoners stems from the feeling they need to be treated worse than the lowest members of society, and that has set the bar abysmally low.|||Being in prison is a pretty good reason to be tortured in China. As for what she is a dumb person said, there are many independent sources that give this information. Some are pretty large and have very good investigation services, like AP, UPI, Amnesty International, CNN and the list goes on and on. Anybody who reads a variety of news sources would not ask a question like that. The best way to get credible news information is to read many sources. Then you do not make very many statements that make you appear less than a educated person. Me, I quit school in the third grade but I continued to read a wide spectrum of information.|||why prisoners?

because the Chinese Communist Party

but famous prisoners, such as Liu Xiaobo he won Nobel Peace Prize

so Chinese Communist Party must not mistreat him now, because if he is hurt it will be a very bad news already a bad news for CCP. So Liu Xiabo is very safe in prison, very protected he will not be mistreated slightly.

But it is not only prisoners. People are mistreated not in prison too, because Chinese Communist Party does not think Chinese human lives is worth.

http://english.aljazeera.net/news/asia-p…|||whatever human rights issues happened inside china as the west claims is indirectely caused by the western aggressive greedy invaders............if china wasnt so badly looted, bullied by these monsters, there wouldnt be a dictator named mao zedong that messed up the whole country.......|||first pls prove that mistreatment of prisoners exist, then ask the question.
