How do you deal with a moron(boss) and avoid his mistreatment's?

How do you deal with being verbally mistreated in the work place. Especially if the person is unable to be approach professionally.|||You go above him and stand up for yourself. Too many bosses get away with mistreatment because employees are afraid of the repercussions of losing their job. If that doesn't work, go higher until you get action.
