I have been researching child abuse. Some pages talk about psychological mistreatment(or is it maltreatment). It pretty sounds like verbal abuse. Can anyone explain it better. If I suspect a parent for it should I report this.|||Abuse is abuse whether its mental or physical and yes its mostly verbal abuse, basically any kind of abuse which doesn't involve physical pain, things like encouraging suicide or convincing someone theyre ugly or anything like that.
Yes report it.|||I know where you're going with this, but I think the best hope for your scenario is to bring friend to Emerg, where she can explain that she's in imminent danger of committing suicide using a particular method. This will get her into the psych ward, where she'll be interviewed at length to determine the cause(s) of distress and various treatment options. If you could go with her, it would be a great service to her.
